Dear Malik
I am an ex Catholic who for forty years sinned against God and had no second
thoughts about it. About 3 years ago I had an experience where God
enlightened me and drew me to His Son, Jesus Christ, who condescended Himself
to be sacrificed for me and other sinners. I now live for Christ who covers
my transgressions and fills my heart with joy. Islam is misguided and headed
for destruction because the only door to God is through Jesus Christ. I pray
that you and other devout are enlightened. Your eternal salvation rides on it.
Dear friend
Thankyou for your sincere concern. I'll acknowledge from your perspective and experience that
indeed your life turned around for the better.
For me eternal salvation is the ultimate objective of religion. I wished you had explained as to
how Islam is headed for destruction. But I assume your referring to the differing concept of salvation
that Islam carries.
Salvation has always been through the worship of the one true God, and doing righteous
works. Just like
every Biblical Prophet declared.
As the conclusion of the book of Ecclesiastes (12:13) says
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
He was basically repeating what Moses and the other Prophets had said. To get eternal life, keep the Commandments.
And this does not refer to the ten commandments specifically, but any of God's revealed laws. And this involves
worship of God almighty (not Jesus) and doing righteous deeds.
What did Jesus have to say on the matter?. He explicitly says
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Mathew 5:17-20
He clearly said, he came "Not to destroy the Law", he never said that he came to replace the law, or his supposed death and
resurrection would become its substitute. Heaven and earth has not passed away, but the destruction of the law seems to have beaten it to it. One is to ask, how can ones righteousness exceed the scribes and Pharisees if your not keeping the commandments?. According to Jesus, you cannot enter Heaven as a result.
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
Mathew 24:35
So said Jesus, but his words seem to have passed away unheeded. And you have St. Paul to thank for all this.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death."
John 8:51
How many of Jesus sayings has Christendom kept?. God almighty may abrogate customs and practices, but he would not abrogate the prime theological concepts such the Unity of God and the way to get to heaven. God is eternal, and so is his law.
The numerous times Jesus emphasises the keeping of the Commandments suggests that he did not know about the new phase of salvation that was to come. Despite the so-called contract that he supposedly had with the Father before the Creation of the world, the notion that the Church teaches.
What Jesus preached was Islam. Even his practices were Islam
"And he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face, and
prayed..."-(MATTHEW 26:39).
Just like every Muslim prays, and every Prophet
"And Abraham fell on his face..."-(GENESIS 17:3).
"And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship..."-(JOSHUA 5:14).
As a Muslim, if I was to reject Jesus Christ, I would no longer be a Muslim. In the Holy Qu'an, he is given
these honourable titles.
Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus, the son of Mary)
An-nabi (The Prophet)
As-saaliheen (The Righteous)
Kalimatu'Llah (Word of God)
Ruhu-Llah (Spirit of God)
Masih-uLlah (Christ of God)
We do not worship him, and WE DO NOT WORSHIP MUHAMMED. Worship is reserved only for Allah, the same deity that Jesus worshipped. Like I once did, I honestly suggest you do a bit of reading on the history of early Christianity, and you'll discover that Christian salvation is an innovation adapted from Greek practices, rather than a belief
inherited from Monotheistical Judaism, till this day no Jew is expecting their Messiah to be divine in any way whatsoever. In this manner, you too will be enlightened as to the genesis of Christianity. When you peel the layers off, you'll
discover that Islam is the religion that was practiced by all the Prophets sent by God.
